Mahachanok Mango: A Refined Thai Taste Recognized on the International Award Stage
Synova’s Mahachanok Mango Sauce showcases a refined Thai taste, crafted from a certified mango variety and recognized with a Superior Taste Award, reflecting quality evaluated on an international stage.
Thailand is home to one of the world’s richest diversities of mango varieties.
Each variety offers its own character—distinct flavors, textures, and culinary applications—making Thai mangoes far more than a single-note sweetness.
At Synova, we believe that exceptional products begin with a deep understanding of ingredients.
Rather than treating mango as just a flavor, we see it as a foundation of identity and purpose.
One variety that truly embodies this philosophy is the Mahachanok mango.
Mahachanok Mango: A Thai Hybrid Mango Created by Natural Cross-Pollination
Mahachanok mango is a Thai hybrid mango variety
that was created by chance through cross-pollination
between the Sunset variety and the Nang Klang Wan variety.
The variety was later named “Mahachanok”
in honor of
His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great.
After its introduction, Mahachanok mango quickly gained popularity,
and scion wood was distributed for cultivation in many areas across Thailand.
Key characteristics of Mahachanok mango include:
- Large fruit with an attractive, long and slender shape
- Thick skin, suitable for transportation and export
- Green skin and a sour taste when unripe
- Golden yellow to fully red skin when ripe
- Firm flesh with a high edible portion
- Naturally sweet flavor with a distinctive aroma when fully ripe
- A thin, flat seed and relatively low fiber
Because of its beautiful appearance, large size, and consistent quality,
Mahachanok mango has become a popular variety
both in the domestic market and for export.
The name “Mahachanok” was inspired by the royal literary work Phra Mahachanok.
The story reflects the values of perseverance, patience,
and the belief that meaningful results come from continuous effort.
These values closely mirror the way Mahachanok mango is cultivated—requiring time, a deep understanding of nature, and careful, consistent care to produce fruit of truly high quality.

At the same time, Synova is committed to supporting Thai farmers and celebrating local ingredients through sustainable value creation.
International Recognition Through Taste Evaluation
In 2026, Synova’s Mahachanok Mango Sauce received 1 Star at the Superior Taste Award.
The evaluation was conducted by the International Taste Institute in Brussels through a blind tasting process, assessed by more than 250 independent food and beverage experts, including Michelin-starred chefs and sommeliers.
This recognition reflects the intrinsic quality of the product’s taste—evaluated without brand influence or marketing considerations.
A Local Thai Taste, Recognized Globally
From certified Thai mango varieties to thoughtful product development and international evaluation, Synova’s Mahachanok Mango Sauce represents how local Thai flavors can achieve global standards—through quality, integrity, and respect for origin.
This new flavor will be officially available in February.
